Experience OS Terms of Use
Release scope. Premium and in-app shared-profile deletion are part of the current Apple app and its service and apply where your installed version offers them. Earlier pre-release test builds did not include them.
Experience OS provides timed media and optional control of compatible local equipment. By using the app, you agree to use it only with equipment and networks you are authorized to control. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Yusuf TURAN, the individual developer based in Türkiye who publishes and operates Experience OS.
Equipment and environment
Compatibility, network conditions, third-party firmware, and physical placement can change results. Review the app’s stated scope before starting an Experience and keep a safe manual way to control lights, audio, and displays. Do not use the app where a lighting or sound change could create a safety risk.
Content
Experience packages combine footage and recordings licensed under Creative Commons Attribution terms or dedicated under CC0, material that the archive or agency publishing it marks as public domain (for example with a Public Domain Mark), and original procedural sound compositions. Quiet Courtyard uses AI-generated artwork with procedural water animation; its source records identify the original image and derivative. Different assets have different terms. Source credits identify the material and its stated licence or public-domain status; a Public Domain Mark is not a CC0 licence. An AI-generated work is not described as human footage or a guarantee of exclusive copyright. You may use delivered content only through the app for personal, non-commercial use unless separate terms say otherwise. Third-party recordings and video keep their own licences, which these terms do not narrow. Media shown or played in the app that is offered under a Creative Commons licence remains under that licence (on iPhone and Apple TV, each Experience’s Sources panel names it); these terms do not restrict any right that licence grants.
Experience OS Premium
Where offered, Premium unlocks the Premium collection on supported iPhone and Apple TV devices. The seven original Experiences remain free. Apple Music is a separate service and subscription; you do not need Experience OS Premium to connect or use Apple Music.
Before you subscribe, the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation show the price, billing period, and any trial available to your Apple Account. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Where offered to an eligible account, the annual plan’s seven-day trial renews at the annual price shown before purchase. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple; reinstalling the app does not create another trial.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start an eligible free trial, when the trial ends. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If a renewal payment fails, Apple may retry it, and where Apple provides a billing grace period, Premium stays available during that period. Apple notifies you of price changes as its rules require. Where applicable, any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Apple handles payment. Manage or cancel through your Apple Account’s subscriptions, including from the Premium screen where supported. Cancel at least 24 hours before a free trial ends if you do not want the first charge. Removing the app, deleting an Experience OS profile, disconnecting a room, or disconnecting Apple Music does not cancel a subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions for your device and region.
Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that bought Premium to recover access. Each playback device checks that account’s purchase; pairing devices into a room does not transfer a purchase to another Apple Account. Family Sharing and multi-seat purchases are not offered for Premium. Downloaded Premium content still requires valid access to start a new session. Expired or refunded purchases do not delete your downloaded files or take away the free starter collection.
For purchases billed by Apple, request a refund through Apple. Eligibility depends on the purchase, country or region, and applicable consumer rights; approval is not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
When a Premium Experience is prepared or started in a shared room, our service keeps an admission record to coordinate which device may start playback. It is not a purchase record and it does not transfer access between Apple Accounts. It is deleted 30 days after it stops applying, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Shared-profile deletion
In versions with the updated deletion feature, a confirmed request applies to the whole shared profile and its currently linked devices. Stop playback and allow pending controls and equipment restoration to finish before deleting. An unavailable, refused or interrupted request does not prove deletion. Creating a new profile afterwards is a separate action.
Deletion removes the profile’s personal and operational records from the live service subject to the narrow cross-room safety references explained in the Privacy Policy. On Apple devices, the app also keeps a complete pending room-import and Stop recovery record, if present, in a separate device-only Keychain archive after confirmed deletion or revoked authentication. That archive includes saved settings and original request bodies, not only identifiers; the current implementation has no automatic expiry or in-app archive-removal control. An authentication refusal alone does not confirm server deletion. Deletion does not promise that this archive or every copy in backups, diagnostics or local device storage has been erased. It does not cancel an Apple subscription or entitle anyone to use another Apple Account’s purchase.
No guarantee of uninterrupted operation
The app may refuse, degrade, pause, or stop an output when equipment, permission, content, or evidence is unavailable. These refusals protect user control and are not a promise that every configured device will respond.
